I Am This And That

I am many things.

I am the way I see and feel and think.

I am the way I react and the way I respond. I am my passions.

I am my dreams.

I am many things to many people.

I am the way for them to see and feel and think.

I am the way for them to react and for them to respond.

I am a part of their passions.

I am a part of their dreams.

I am never constant.

I am always apt to change.

I am not fixed.

I am a gust of wind.

I am a leaf blown in a storm.

I am despite myself.

I exist and that is enough to be happy.

I am the sum of all my thoughts.

I am the way I treat other people.

I am judged by my actions and words.

I am never truly free to know myself.

I am a man who will make mistakes.

I am a soul that has not been mastered.

I am a failure first, a student next, and a teacher last.

I am neither powerless nor powerful.

I am in control of nothing.

I am forever freely floating in the wind of change.

I am dancing with my eyes closed.

I am smiling in my mind.

I am open to being wrong.

I am loving without possession.

I am the sunlight on my skin.

I am the vast emptiness in the dark.

The world extends from within me.

And I am connected to all that surrounds me.

I am on the way to being liberated.

It is the life force you may contain,

if you allow your mind to be free

of the frayed tapestry of history.
