Philanthropy, Charity and Community Service

I believe fundraising, non-profit work, and charity/community service are integral to a healthy, sustainable community.  These are charities or non-profit organizations I believe are the best places to put your money and time.  With enough time and effort I hope this list grows as I participate more in outreach, community service and fundraising.  If you don’t already raise funds, consider donating to one of these charities; and if you can, be a fundraiser or volunteer!

St. Vincent DePaul Church – The first place I ever volunteered.  My grandpa Christian Kerlick took me to serve meals to the poor.

Our Lady’s Inn – Providing hope and safe harbor for pregnant women and their children through the affirmation of life.

Jewish United Fund – Where I worked for 3 years and learned a lot about myself and others.

American Red Cross – Helping in times of natural disaster.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri – in honor of my brother Joseph Thomas Vatterott.

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society – Raise Funds through active outreach while hiking, running a marathon and other activities.

Pedal The Cause – To raise funds for the Siteman Cancer Center and cutting edge therapies to eradicate cancer from our lives.

Girls Scouts of Eastern Missouri – covering Eastern Missouri Girl Scout Chapters, including District 10, Neighborhood 1 where my sister is co-leader and my niece is a member.

Impact Life (Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center)  Serving the blood needs of Missouri, Iowa, Illinois and soon, Wisconsin.
